Good morning! So excited to announce that I am officially taking on more 1:1 personal training clients as of today πŸ€—πŸŒΉπŸ˜ Come train with me! 

My approach to training reflects my background in powerlifting, kettlebell skills, and yoga. I work 1:1 with clients to improve strength, power, mobility, alignment, and spatial awareness, with the overall goal of helping you feel more aliveπŸ’§πŸŒžβš‘οΈ

My clients come to me with a range of goals, lifestyles, and histories. But the through-line is that they’re all ready for a new orientation toward their body (aka, their life πŸ˜‰). I love my life. I’m always tinkering with the gears β€”Β a little more discipline, a little more freedom β€”Β but the foundation is so dialed. When it gets noisy outside, nothing needs to come crumbling down. Girlfriend, I say to myself, you are not that fragile. πŸ‘±πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ”¨πŸ€­

I always tell my clients, β€œown your scope.” The vast majority of things are not in your control. And there will always be a million zillion distractions threatening to pull you off course β€”Β or worse, trying to convince you to abandon yourself and spin your wheels on something external. Sooo not a vibe! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ‘‰πŸ»πŸ€²πŸ»

I try to take responsibility for the home front first: How is my sleep? What am I putting into my body? Did I move today? What voices did I tune into? 99% of the time, when I’m depressed, overwhelmed, lethargic, spastic, or randomly aggressive, I just need to do some housekeeping. πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ§Ήβ›…οΈ

Suddenly, the world feels juicy and mysterious and beautiful again. It gets to be this good! πŸ€ΈπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ±βœ¨

I used to measure my β€œintegrity” based on how well I was adhering to whatever system of belief I had imposed upon myself (a political framework, a relationship, a diet, a workout plan). There was so much drama: the constant will I/won’t I, feelings of defeat when I inevitably slipped up, and insatiable need for external validation. 

I’ve learned that living out my values isn’t really about disciplining myself (or others) to stay in line. Actually, after enough time spent watching yourself make (and recover from) your own choices, your values end up revealing themselves to you. And it all just becomes a practice of presence: So long as I remain attuned to sensation, I trust myself. I know that any decision made from this place will be right on the money. 

The body always knows what it needs: work, rest, fuel, release. I’m learning to listen to these cravings, and to quiet the mind-noise that has led to so much overthinking, repressing, and over-indulging in the past.

As a coach, I want my clients to be proud of their outcomes (strength gain, fat loss, a PR, following through on a new routine). But more importantly, I want to help them cultivate a relationship with their body. How does it feel to move like this? What’s on the other side of discomfort? How does your entire identity change when you feel connected to, proud of, and properly represented by your physical form? 

Stay tuned for a bunch of new ways to create and train with me coming very soon. I’m so pumped to explore the next layer with whoever wants to join.
