My mama's been given a diagnosis of advanced dementia. I'll be honest that this news hit me over the head pretty hard. I feel like crying some days. I'm grateful she is still here and I get to keep making memories with her- the pleasant and difficult and in between. My mom has always been so strong, so sharp, so spicy ( she still is all 3 to some degree.) It is hard to witness and care for an aging parent, elder, loved one. One of the hardest jobs with no gold stars received. It is selfless work. I'm feeling worried of what's to come, but also I am glad to have an amazing partner who is my teammate as a caregiver for my mom. Keep us all in your good thought plz! A circle with the intention to offer support, an ear to listen, and some fun therapeutic craft activities
