It’s official, after ten years as creative director of Maison Margiela, John Galliano is calling it a day. Galliano and Margiela were a match made in heaven. Few designers could genuinely live up to the genius of Martin Margiela and Galliano found a very suitable groove at Margiela. His technical tailoring and love of deconstruction made perfect sense for the brand that utterly changed fashion in the 1990s.

It’s hard to imagine it now but there was once a time when we didn’t document every moment of our lives. When Patrick O’Dell set up his photo blog Epicly Later’d in 2004, he did something that felt totally new. He photographed his life and the lives of his friends on his Canon ELPH and uploaded the pictures to the site. Quickly, he found an audience of thousands.
20 years later and O’Dell has just released a photo book that documents Epicly Later’d in all its lo-fi glory. We caught up with Patrick O’Dell to chat about the book, the origins of Epicly Later’d and what it was like to party in a time before the iPhone.
