I always loved the album. But what an honor to work with @feistmusic, @janniemcinnes and vonseckunofficial on the documentary which was a tribute to all the many people who helped make it. Artists I admired and respected… who took pictures, made videos and album artwork and the album and the stage show. People who talked me into things, rolled up their sleeves, pushed me harder, made me fight for what I knew, rolled their eyes at me, sharpened my wits and made me more able to communicate subtleties…. Soooo, I spent the year after I stopped touring making a documentary about them, with @janniemcinnes @hollesinger and vonseckunofficial, who themselves then became even more collaborators. I’m sitting backstage in Seattle right now, feeling the whirlwind of years between then and now, feeling that a cornerstone of the soft and permeable conviction I endeavour to keep learning about was laid by this record, and doc, and all the people in them with me. And that was all looooong before this world of “@“ and “#” so forgive me if I don’t find you all in here.
