Sharing a very, very special one today. Two of my best friends, @jamilahache and @drojasmusic did something wonderful: they created an app that will forever change the lives of actors out there. It’s been a scary time for many in the arts and entertainment industry, and it’s refreshing to finally see AI being used for good. @rafy.app uses AI technology to EMPOWER actors, not to take their place: actors can run lines, record self-tapes, and practice their audition skills with a customizable reader – anytime, anywhere. Although we all love a good in-person casting session, the reality is that since the pandemic, many actors have to self-tape and count on other people’s time and favors to be able to have a shot at a job. They put a lot of time and effort into these submissions, and sometimes have to send multiple tapes a day.  It’s amazing to think that now, they will be able to have full control over the process, and won’t have to depend on friends or family to read with them. So I was THRILLED when Daniel and Jamila asked me to create and direct a video for Rafy. This was a project filled with love, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of the amazing @jdbutlerdp – who lent his sharp eye and soothing presence to us – @majucancella @rodzt and @amandapsayeg - who helped us bring this to life in many ways, and to the wonderful talent in front of camera - @kaiiikane @franciscomartos_ and @lalalajoanne. Thank you, Daniel and Jamila for creating such a wonderful product, and for all your trust. I’m a big, big fan.
