Throwing it back because apparently we gave up on social media a while ago 😆. Somehow we are volume stylists and we’re just going with it. Two years ago we spent a few days in New Orleans with @therevivalists and @alyssegafkjen. Here’s what we came up with! Styled by: @p_h_a_n_i_e x @kbrwn___

Halloween 2024 | How The Grinch Stole Christmas We went straight past go and right for Christmas! (And no, this isn’t the Christmas card 😝) We didn’t get to decorate for Halloween this year because of our home on the market. So instead of crying about it, I chose to do what brings me the most joy; Christmas!! What I did want to cry about was the rain trying to take us down!! We had presents and lights and snow, but the rain said NOPE! Nothing like some “rain intervals” while shooting — 40 seconds on camera, run! Our entire left tree of strung lights went out right before we took our places! But I will not be stopped and the people that help this come to life won’t either! A huge thank you to the people that make it all happen. Yesterday as we got ready, I was astonished as my front door kept opening to people coming to help me. I’m always so grateful for everyone involved and for my family who continues to go along with my mischief. Thanks to everyone! @ashtinpaige @katmarde @p_h_a_n_i_e @julesboone @colson__horton for showing up yesterday and making my family feel so loved. Onto Christmas lovers!

CONTINUED! I’m grateful for my best friend and business partner @p_h_a_n_i_e who continues to hold my hand through this journey; both the beautiful and the ugly. We can talk for hours about the highs and lows and not murmur a word about fashion. To the next day, showing up to our jobs and doing ALL things fashion. It’s a beautiful marriage of the topics we love and deep care for one another. She’s helped me fight my hardest fights and she’s introduced me to people that have changed our career forever. For being together for almost ten years and only breaking up once, I’d say we’re on to something wonderful. Come on, if that’s not love I don’t know what is. Here I am just trying to figure it all out. Full disclosure: I wanted to cancel this shoot SO badly. I haven’t been in front of the camera for years, but I didn’t want to become that person that shys away from the camera. You know when people say, “omg I hate how I look in that” “My hairs too flat” or “omg look at how much weight I’ve gained”. Screw that. These seasons all add up. They all matter. They should all be documented and cherished. I invite everyone to document the big ones. It was such a wonderful exercise for my self confidence. I can imagine myself looking back on them in 5 years (in my new and improved chapter) and being so grateful for that version of me. Cheer yourself on, people! And surround yourself with people who celebrate every part of you. Much like @ashtinpaige and @katmarde and @tylerxhair who made this shoot a dream come true. Grateful to all the people in my life that see me and care for me. All the people mentioned here add so much quality to my life. People you for sure want on your “team”. Ride or dies!

| 3️⃣5️⃣ | whoosh where do I start? The gratitude I have for getting this far. For being able to spend moments with my kids, for waking up and feeling the sun hit my face, and for the body that carries me to and fro. This vessel has carried me through some serious heartache and some serious beauty. I’m grateful for the wrinkles, for the grey hairs, for the extra fifteen pounds that continues to be my emotional “padding” as I navigate the closing of this treacherous chapter. I’m thankful for the mirror that life placed in front me exposing all the codependent parts. I’m thankful for my drive and determination to grow and face said parts. I’m extra grateful for @transcendingturbulence who has held the mirror for me, who gently reminds me of where to take my ownership, who sees me and loves me so wholly. LATE POST ALERT! 🚨 Guys, this was a tricky holiday season and after a location shift, shoot date change, edits and revisions on revisions, she’s just late this year. These “books” won’t be to your mailboxes either. I’m so sorry! I take so much pride in our Christmas cards for so many reasons. The primary is sharing our fun and joy with you all and hearing your appreciation for it as it fills my buckets. It’s hard to put them in any order, but creating with my friends for fun is a huge perk, too! My kids love to see it all come to life and my gosh the memories we’ve made. The past couple shoots have been different and harder for a laundry list of reasons, but that’s okay. We’re carving new paths to new memories and joy. The catalog we will have to look back on!
