The LABRUM Mamie Bakie dress, specially designed for @julianknxx , has taken center stage in his evocative performances ‘Chorus In Rememory Of Flight’ (2023) and ‘In A Dream We Are At Once Beautiful’ (2022). Inspired by the style of @iamfods’s grandmother, the dress features voluminous elements that echo the agbada, a traditional West African garment known for its flowing silhouette and grandeur, celebrating heritage and the freedom of expression.
