"The act of getting into nature inherently places you into a more curious, open-minded state." - @michaelwashh, Founder of USAL Project

Created by the late and legendary Madre team member Anthony Masters, the ‘Toucan Tony’ has remained a familia favorite.

His riff on a ‘Jungle Bird,’ this wonderful combination of sweet pineapple and Aperol, mixed with the smokiness of mezcal and cinnamon makes for a complex and flavorful sip, cut through by the acidity and freshness of lime.

We miss you everyday, Anthony.

Revisiting "De La Curva al Cuerno," a day spent in the gardens of @thestandardmiami with artists and friends @sofiperazzo, @thetropicalista, & @elenastonaker as they collaborated on visual pieces new and old.

We observed Ariana's artistic expression across various mediums, including canvas, and Sofia's printed photography, with each piece delving into the divine feminine and its relationship to land and nature, reveled in vinyl records spun by @lagrimasdeoro, snacked on curated and baked treats by @fivelementfoods and @julianpan.305, and sipped mezcal until the late evening.

In the center of Oaxaca City, the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzman has a complex legacy. Originally a symbol of colonial oppression, the church and surrounding plaza have become a place where the indigenous community comes together to celebrate their history and culture.

This time last week, we gathered together at the Palma Lounge in the Santa Monica Proper Hotel. Mezcal fueled an evening of music with Will Worden (@godspeedwarrior) and his band, transporting us back to a 1960s smoky honky-tonk. The night was capped with the perfect selection of vinyl spun by Mikey Longhair (@mustbetheseasonofthebitch). Thank you to the Proper Hotel for a memorable evening.

In the hills of San Dionisio, Oaxaca, farmers and workers from the town come to the palenque run by José Garcia Morales and his family. They do the work to make this mezcal, and we are deeply grateful for it.
