“Happy Holidays” has just been awarded at @marrakechfilmfestival with L’Étoile D’or Festival Grand Prize and Best Performance by an actress for both Manar Shehab and Wafaa Aoun. Back in November the film was also awarded with Best Feature Film Award “Theo Angelopoulos” Golden Alexander in the official competition at @filmfestivalgr , the 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival. I’m excited to share that ‘Happy Holidays’ has won Best Screenplay in the Orizzonti section of the 81st Venice Film Festival. It was incredible to share the experience with the team in huge screen and cinema at the festival. It has been a very challenging and important project for me. I believe in our responsability and impact in society as film and art workers. I hope our work is useful and makes the viewers stop and think how we act and interact in society.
