8 years ago, I started my makeup career with nothing but passion and a dream. When I came to the US as a Latina immigrant, not knowing English and not knowing anyone. It was really hard to see a future when everyone was rejecting me for jobs. All I knew was that I wanted to do makeup that was the only dream I had back then. Honestly, my dreams weren’t even that big. I just wanted to do makeup, and everything else kind of happened along the way. Now, at 26, I’m married, a business owner and building my career as a makeup artist in LA. From working with brides to leading a team of 10 @nvglamteam , collaborating with brands and assisting top celebrity MUAs, I’m living a life I couldn’t even imagine back then. If God gave you a dream, it’s because it’s possible. We’re all growing, learning and inspiring each other every step of the way. Last night was a moment I’ll never forget 🥹🤍 It was my very first concert I assisted in English and I experienced it alone, a choice that gave me the space to truly reflect. As I stood there, surrounded by the energy of the crowd going wild for Sabrina, I couldn’t help but think about how a couple months ago, I had the honor of working with Jen for one of Sabrina’s glam looks. It felt surreal, a full-circle moment that reminded me of just how far I’ve come… not just in my career, but as a person. Manifesting that one day, it’ll be me backstage, working my magic on an artist just as iconic as her. This journey has been anything but easy, but moments like these remind me that 8 years ago when I started, I never imagined this could be my life. Gratitude keeps me grounded and fuels the dream…I’m just getting started!
