12 years after playing for Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, I returned to my home in South London to receive a BAFTA. 🥹🥹🥹 I’m still in disbelief, I could have never dreamed of this as a little kid growing up in Vauxhall. I’m forever grateful for the ‘Earth Mama’ team. The film wouldn’t be what it is without your honesty, passion and commitment. Thank you to all our mothers and children who selflessly shared their stories, and made so many people feel less alone while watching. ❤️❤️❤️

‘run’ Hauser & Wirth Downtown Los Angeles 24 June – 30 July 2023 Really excited to be showing my new short film ‘run’ at Hauser & Wirth gallery. Thank you to @kilokish and @zehrahmed for curating my work alongside artists Carrie Mae Weems, Lorna Simpson, Martine Syms, Ja'Tovia Gary, Kilo Kish, Ayanna Dozier, and LaJuné McMillian. ‘run’ is a self-portrait exploring the physicality of the Black female form. As an Olympian and former professional athlete, I turn the lens on myself and draw into question the value of the body. Thank you to everyone involved in the production, for helping make this personal film possible.

@earthmamamovie in US theaters July 7th I’ve been working on this film since 2018, but it feels like my whole life has been building to this moment. It’s a story so close to my heart, and set in my American home, the Bay Area. This project has grown with every person that has been involved, each sharing a piece of themselves to expand this film into a collective story. I’m excited to share it with you.
