I’m supposed to be on my holidays but I was so excited about testing the style for my new book (which I’ll finally start to draw next week 😊) that I couldn’t help it.

In case you’ve been wondering (who?) I’m still working on my infinite embroidered-comic-mural project and after 9 months doing it while watching the last season of Better call Saul, Severance, the complete Succession (twice) half of the filmography of John Waters and many more movies, I gave birth to this piece. I hope next one will take less time or I will finish it when I’m eighty.

Step 1.

About ten years ago I was planning to make some knitted drawings but I had to leave the project on the side to use my free time for my other passion: making comics. Then I moved to France and had to leave my grandma’s machine (which is incredibly heavy and large) behind, so now that I’m back here, now that comics are my main job, and that I’m more organized, now I’m finally able to go back to this. I felt super happy when I found out that knitting is like riding a bike. I still remembered how to do it. Hopefully I’ll be making more of this purposeless-originals-oneofakind-knitted drawings soon. 🙃 Gracias especiales a mi querida madre que tiene la paciencia que yo no tengo y me ayudó a atrapar los puntos perdidos. 💛

It took me sometime to go back to normal-life-rhythm, but I’m there now, and as I watch movies I continue with this neverending project. 🪡

I took some days off because I was exhausted and then to warm up again I improvised this picture that is now called “The night of the tentacle”. So back to work.

Del 10 al 14 de Octubre son las jornadas del cómic de Avilés y allí estaré nuevamente. Además hice el cartel. 🖍️

Cette broderie fera également partie de l’exhibition qui inaugurera ce jeudi à la galerie @artivistas.paris. Il s’agit d’un remake de une des mes premières broderies (qui a été perdue par la poste dans des circonstances qu’il vaut mieux oublier). —- Este bordado tambien formará parte de la exhibicion que inaugura este jueves en galeria @artivistas.paris y es una reversión de uno de mis primeros bordado (que se perdió en el envío internacional en circunstancias que es mejor olvidar)

¡Hola, hola! Acabo de terminar esta nueva parte de la historieta-mural que estoy haciendo hace años. Junto con el resto de las partes ya hechas va a estar exhibida en @artivistas.paris, también junto con algunas de mis pinturas, otros bordados y varias páginas de mis historietas.
