When I first moved to LA I was overwhelmed by how big this place was. I couldn’t imagine how a city with so many people in it could also leave me feeling isolated and alone…and then I met you. The first time we met you and Dima came to my Soulcycle class. You spent 45 minutes singing, dancing and having the time of your life on the bike. Just like LA, you were larger than life. After the class you came up and asked me what my plans were for the holidays- I had just moved here and didn’t have an answer and so I said I didn’t have any and you responded “well you do now.” A few weeks later you gave me a Christmas present, wrapped in a box. You didn’t know it but it was the only present I received that year. Your little act of kindness transformed what could have been a very lonely holiday and made me feel like I was a little more at home. That’s what you do. Since the day I met you, you’ve showered me with love, laughter, introduced me to some incredible people, shown me kindness and been a true guiding light in this big city. You’ve made LA feel like home. It’s hard for me to put into words everything you mean to me but thank you for bringing me into your family. Thank you for loving me and THANK YOU for being born. You mean so much to me and I hope you have the absolute BEST BIRTHDAY!!!!

Have sang so many songs, laughed until we’ve cried, gotten in fights under the Eiffel Tower in the rain and called each other throughout the night when we are in pain. You have truly transformed from a friend to someone I consider deeply family. I will ALWAYS show up for you and I know that you will always show up for me. There is a deep comfort I have knowing that no matter how much space is between us- you are very likely music videoing wherever you are- and if I want to feel close to you all I have to do is music video too. You are someone with immense feelings and goodness inside of you. It is a blessing and privilege to get to love and be loved by you. You use your platform, time and energy to uplift others and to spread not only joy but education. You aren’t scared to put someone in check (I know from personal experience 😉) and you are also quick to give people their flowers ( I also know that from personal experience) I will never forget the day I met you in the street. I had just moved to LA, was a fan of your videos and I approached you to tell you that I thought you were amazing. Years later after becoming costars and friends- That hasn’t changed. DEV GAMES: A Playground for Community, Competition & Charity! @thedevgames 2024 was a massive success!! Together 120 people came together from all over the States to play, build community and raise money for the American Indian Services! Collectively with the help of our sponsors we raised over TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! I am still completely blown away by this day and everything we were able to accomplish together! There are very few people in my life that I love more than I love Samer Salem. There are days when I just count my fingers and look up to God thanking him for bringing this man into my life. He’s as funny as he is handsome and is as silly as he is serious. He’s a loyal protector and defender of what is right and is always looking to help others when they’re in need. He is definitely somebody that’s got a sweet tooth and can rarely say no to a tasty treat. He’s got more talent in his pinky finger than most people pray to have in their entire body.
