For the last 8 months I’ve been collaborating with Jack Antonoff and his brilliant band Bleachers to create all the visuals for their new album, which is out today. This has been a dream project thats given me the freedom to explore all the different facets of what I do as an image maker - from directing music videos to photoshoots to simply wandering around America on introspective solo ventures to document the land- one of my favorite things to do. Niamh. Crewe. 2019 When we met, Niamh was working at the checkout at the Spar shop in my hometown. We managed to convince her boss to let us go outside and take some pictures of her in her uniform. She told me she dreamed of becoming a tattoo artist, but wasn’t optimistic because there were barely any opportunities for artists like her in our small town. She looks completely different now, and went on to get the job she dreamed of

One more installment of my story for @moreorlessmag The first slide is of 105 year old Fumi Toyama- one of the vibrant centenarians I met. She attributes her longevity to laughter and Jesus. The third slide is Nakaoji San- an 87 year old marathon runner, photographed as he stretches during his morning routine. Slide 5 is of Kimiko Kamida - a 94 year old bar owner with her good friend Mitsuko Kakazu, a long time patron.
