“Treasure Knots” is on exhibition in the @superrare.co galley in Soho, New York curated by @laurelcharleston until June 15. The background of this piece is the “Fingernails of a Highclass Chinamen” postcard, that represents the history of long nails in China. Besides, this work references the symbology of Chinese knots, which in this case are sculpted in ceramics and transformed into nails. - Imensamente feliz em dizer que “Treasure Knots” está em exposição na galeria do @superrare.co em Soho, Nova York curado por @laurelcharleston a partir de hoje até dia 15 de Junho. Essa obra tem como fundo o postcard “Firgernails of a Highclass Chinamen”, que representa a história das unhas longas na China. Além disso, esse trabalho faz referência a simbologia dos nós chineses, nesse caso esculpidos com cerâmica e transformados em unhas.

Memory Nail 🪶 nail tattoo machine, a collaboration between @occulted and @cyshimi We are thrilled to share one of the most complex projects we made in the Hybrid Body Lab @hybridbodylab Artist in Residence at Cornell University. The idea was to create a nail you can actually tattoo with and create memory on your body. This took half of our 2 month residency to produce, it required several iterations and prototypes. The design was inspired by feather pens that contrasted with an edgy studded texture on the cover. The cover has to accomodate a motor for the needle to go back and fourth. Video coming soon!!!
