Dry Heat is bringing one of the Bay Area’s best talents to Palm Springs Pride! FIVE is going to bring all the energy you want to hear on the dance floor, channeling a classic house sound of new and legendary tracks that will keep you moving. We are beyond excited to welcome him this Friday to the desert! 🪩🌴 Five is a New Orleans born DJ currently living in San Francisco. ‘Club’ music in a very broad sense has been a mainstay in Five’s DJ sets through the years, but a focus on classic house music directs the overall sound following years of access to digging in record shops throughout NYC. Drawing inspiration from the pioneering figures of the American club scenes of the 80s and early 90s such as Larry Levan, Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles, Five seeks to extend the legacy of ‘House’ music by blending the many different types dance music in a way that ranges from soulful, joyous, to deep and “Jacking.” Alongside local Bay Area favorite DJs Oscar and Trevor Sigler, Five throws a club night called “Ew” as well as “An Evening With Babygirl” with New Orleans based long-time friend and collaborator Bouffant Bouffant. Most recently, Five has joined creative forces with SF legend Vin Sol as Triple Five Sol. Their debut production was recently featured on The Carry Nation’s “Full Tilt Carry vol. 2” compilation which was released on Nervous Records.
