My last release of🥈0️⃣🏪 is also the one I’m most proud of?! Took Chris Garneau’s lovely, haunting song “Out of Love” on a 7+ minute voyage. Inspired by a bottom-to-top continental drive with changing Euro landscapes and days that had all four seasons. Centered around Chris’s lush vocals, of course. For the floor, but with an intro that pays tribute to a shared affection for old French pop. And I’ve heard it works! Road-tested and approved by some DJs you respect. Multiple drops to maximize everyone’s pleasure. Thank you @chris.garneau for trusting me with something so precious. It’s an honor to go from listening to the original in 2023 as the days got shorter to this coming out now; I hope it’s the first and not the only time we work on something. AND it’s in good company with a lovely rework by @themusicofomar that sets its own gorgeous tone. Get both! ♥️♥️♥️

It’s the 1st house diss track of the 21st century where the voice telling someone, “I’m a lover not a fighter but I’ll crack your teeth” is beloved by children across Italy! David has the range and the talent and I hope this is the first of many we do. Thanks @protopapa and @ilromantico_pierpaolo of @fluidostudio for recording vocals in Milan. Track two is a song that will fuck up a dancefloor for you. If you love drama and give me 500 dollars, I’ll tell you who the Three Demons in a Trenchcoat are. Based on a true story! If I talk too much about track three I’ll give away the conceptual goal it’s part of so just know it has good bass and you can dance to it. The title track is named for the nightclub that raised me. Like watching a Debbie Harry doppelgänger rollerskate to the last track of the morning under the pulsating sequences of a Soviet-issued light machine—a real thing that happened at Dengue Dancing—it allows you to cool off a little before going back to the world. All Berger (@trackland._ ) is a sweetheart and did a wonderful job on mastering these. AND. Nick! Boyd! @nickboydnyc is a delight! Knows what he’s talking about without being snooty. A sincere good person in an industry where it’s notable to mention that. Working on this together was big fun and I’m excited to be in Sorry’s formidable discography. 🍝🪩👹

Sweet birthday baby 🎂🥂 Rinse France is now 5,000 years old in nightlife years! Thanks to @kiddysmile, I got to be there from its very first location, guesting on then co-hosting his show « Kiddy Likes It Hot » before starting my show « It’s Whitney, Bitch » (which is back on Saturday with its 80th guest). I have so much love for everyone I get to and have gotten to work with in the studio. @azamat_bogdanov and co. not just tolerated but encouraged total freedom, including at least two all-Prince shows from me as well as the time @todayisok played an entire Hanson deep cut. Here’s to 5,000 nightlife years more. I can’t celebrate at the party in Paris next week, but if you’re there you should go. Swipe to turn back time a decade.
