🌊Every city in the world has its own water story, and New York City is no exception! Join us on December 18 for our last Malkin lecture of the year to hear Guggenheim fellow Lucy Santé interrogate how New York City tackled its growing need for sustainable water souces in the early 20th century. From 1907 to 1967, an extensive network of reservoirs and aqueducts was built across more than one million acres in upstate New York. We’re in the last week of rehearsals for the world premiere of @kyle_abraham_original_recipe ‘s “Dear Lord, Make Me Beautiful”. From December 3-14, experience this intimate evening length dance piece featuring an ensemble of dancers—including Abraham himself—the visual designs of @caoyuxi, and an Armory-commissioned score composed and performed live by the critically acclaimed new music ensemble @yMusic.
