One of the reasons why I started office was to create a space where you could feel like you belong too… It is to show that there is space for all of us and that you too can reach a place of success and accomplishment. Born in Denmark, @simonrasmussen began working in the fashion industry as a stylist in 2005 eventually moving to New York in 2011 and founding the print magazine Office. As the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief and head stylist, Simon leads coverage of fashion editorials, emerging and established artists, and New York creative culture at large. Currently, Simon still serves as the editor-in-chief at Office while also creative directing for 7days and offering consulting services for global brands. ‘Simon has a presence. Years ago, before I know who he was and what he did, I remember seeing Simon walking out of the show looking like the security guard had gone shopping at Slam Jam. Jokes aside, Simon is an extremely talented guy. Office Magazine. 7 Days Active. His roster of styling clients. Simon is doing incredible work, and with an aesthetic that cannot be rivaled. It’s funny that Simon lives in my country, and I live in his. He seems to do “America” better than I ever did. I hope I can do “Denmark” even half as well. Simon recently moved his office to a new building in FiDi, and we hung out and talked about the ups and downs of this fashion world.
