Failure! (2024) “Failure! was always intended to be a unique film, taking place in real time, all in a single take with no cuts. Having done some long takes on a previous film, I knew how to approach this project. I decided to film on the Red Monstro in 8K with a 2:1 aspect ratio. After using the BLACKWING7s on a few projects, I knew my go-to lens to start any scene was a 47mm in full frame. After a few days of camera rehearsals, the final shot that made the film was our last take as the sun was setting, all done in an 87-minute take. We used the BLACKWING7 lenses because of the texture they added to the story on screen, giving it a sense of realism. Our lead, Ted Raimi (@tedraimi), was incredible.
