Week 1 - Week 16 natty push up for @sebasady ✅

Crazy what you can achieve when you follow the plan to a T. 

Seb came to me already in the condition on the left and just casually walking round looking a few weeks out. I would normally suggest a pull back phase before the push up, but there was no need to with the condition he was in. 

So we just started the push on from there which brings us to week 17 this week. 

With solid adherence from day one and daily communication we were able to set up a good game plan and start working on adding new tissue to the frame. 

Seb has been sending over daily training footage to allow me to get a gist of how the training plan was working and give my feedback on execution, set ups and intensity. This has really been able to improve his training in a short amount of time just again from the communication and dedication to take my feedback and apply it to his training. 

Plan is to continue pushing for another 3-4 weeks to then potentially deload and push on again. Condition is still in a good place and appetite hasn’t stalled yet, even with regular influxes in food to get him to a place where he was in the best place possible to send training and maximise adaptation.

This is what we came to do today. Stress free knowing all boxes had been ticked and just had to follow the plan ahead for the morning protocol which @luke_elitesp outlined in complete detail as usual 🫡

Probably our best peak to date. Everything was planned to a T and just had to be executed. The exiting thing is that our peak can be even better than today. 

Rest up now for the afternoon. Hydrate and fuel up for the overalls later on. Can’t wait to get back up there. 🎯

Improv Phase 3 / Week 5

Just moving through the process now and packing on our last load of tissue before we drop the hammer. 

Food is moving probably the best it’s been in any improvements phase with where calories are. To the point where these last 2 weeks weight just hasn’t really moved because I’m burning through carbs too quickly. Because of that fats have been increased this week to help slow down the digestion of the carbs. 

Current macros : 
TD / P.375 / C.925 / F.100
RD / P.375 / C.750 / F.100

Now is just a waiting game for bodyweight to move which should then help weight continue to push up. Just need to get over this hurdle which should only take a week or two.

Back to the norm. 

Numbers I’ve been chasing since having to back off with by knee issue are back in play with no niggles. Took some time and a few frustrating weeks but I think I’m back to working at the limit. There’s been loads of weeks where I’ve wanted to load it back up to normal numbers but the knee just wasn’t ready. Strength has been good and the knees been happy these last few weeks so today was the day. 

Reps up on squat press and load up on pendulum. All accessories progressed. 

Job done.

The push continues. 

In we go with week 5. Weight has been sticking with a slight increase but nothing crazy. Just a waiting game now and continuing the food intake till the body accepts the fact that it needs to move up and take the weight on. 

It will always happen, so just a case of waiting and just repeating the processes. Base food up this week and a 10g increase in fats which should slow the digestion of carbs down a bit and help Bodyweight stick a bit more

Todays three main presses

A lot of good progress made on all of these today. The plate loaded nitro press is back in now so just going off the numbers I was doing back earlier in the year. 

Pec and cable flys are added in between presses so I’m not doing heavy compound presses back to back. Will just continue and build on top of these now but everything now is an all time PB which means every week I’m exposing my body to a new stimulus. 

End product - new tissue.

Done with another week but more than ready to attack the same routine again starting tomorrow. Targets to chase down and just the constant pursuit for more tissue. 

In the midst of a push up phase like I’m starting to get to now, is where I really start to challenge what I’m capable of in training. Every set is a chance to do something I’ve never done before, and this for me is where I see the most progression in my physique. So taking advantage of being in this position is so important.

11 week recomp phase ✅

Left - 99kg / Right - 90kg 

When starting a push up phase you need to be in a prime position to be able to take on food and allow your body to utilise the nutrition properly to then send it to the right places. Starting a push up phase when you have too much body fat will just result in you being insulin resistant and gaining more body fat on top which will limit the amount of quality muscle mass you can put on. 

This is what we had to do with @sebasady and we’re now ready to begin our big push up phase and keep condition in a very tight spot. 

I didn’t stress putting too much of a time frame on this phase. I just said to Seb, we’ll push up when you’re ready, and I judged this decision a lot by his check in pictures and progress made on a weekly basis.
