“Through My Eyes” – New global Campaign for the United Nations Refugee Agency UNHCR @refugees @unitednations A film for Human Rights Day and a really special one for me. Even with extensive research and speaking to countless refugees in preproduction, I can’t even imagine what it must feel like to be one. So how could I speak for the millions seeking refuge?  The truth is, I can’t.  But what I can do is to speak to people like me—people living in Europe or other regions who might feel disconnected from these stories or overwhelmed by the headlines. That’s where this film comes in: This isn’t about giving refugees a voice. They have voices. Rather, it’s about helping audiences like me—comfortable in their living rooms—see beyond the label of ‘refugee.’ It is about shifting perspectives and while we may never fully understand someone else’s experience, perhaps the first step is trying to see the world through their eyes. This film started after loosing a friend and turned into an incredible journey which is coming to an end today. The aim was always to prevent others from accidentally overdosing and suffering the same fate as him, without sounding like your parents saying: “Drugs are Bad.” Rather, we wanted to be like a friend who sincerely tells you “Take care”.  And along the way, so many great people contributed their part, shared their experience, and together we somehow managed to produce this. We are glad to see this project come to life. What is highlife? It is collaborative project that aims to raise awareness about drug checking and break the stigma. We were personally affected by a tragic loss caused by impure drugs. We believe drug checking could have made a difference. That’s why we raise our voices to bring change in society.

More than excited to finally share some stills from my latest film "Ventil" 🖤🏍️ For me, the most impactful stories are those rooted in reality. "VENTIL" draws inspiration from an actual event that took place in the 90s, where a group of teenagers caused a car crash. The driving force behind this film was the question of how ordinary youths can transform into perpetrators and how their environment influences their actions. However, rather than dwelling on life's unfairness, my intention was to shed light on the moments of fragility we all encounter in our everyday lives. Personally I thought is all too easy to pass judgment without fully grasping the tragic fate they face, as their story unfolds.
