After over 10 years, I finally made it back to Santa Fe, New Mexico a place that shaped so many of my childhood summers. Being back felt so nostalgic and comforting… the familiar smell of the desert air, the passing by of all the beautiful adobe homes, and even the taste of a chimichanga from Allsup’s 😜 It all just felt so good 💞 This trip was even more special because I was there to celebrate an incredible man, my uncle and godfather, Frank DiLuzio. Santa Fe’s Fire Station 7 was named after him in his honor. He dedicated his life to protecting this city as fire chief, but it was only now that I truly began to grasp the full depth of his impact on Santa Fe’s safety and community. Have a listen to slide 6 for all of his accomplishments. There are so many things I wish I could ask him, and so many stories I wish we talked about when he was alive.
